My work will be included in the group show Fur, Fins and Feathers at Alamance Arts from September 6th through October 16th. This show includes two of my 3D paintings: ‘The More You Go Against Your Nature, the More You Will Know It. Hear Me Heaven!’ –Dijuna Barnes and ‘Quieting is Requisite for All Listening. Listening Comes from Respect’ – Jana Bluejay, both made from oil paint, papier-maché, beadwork, and mixed media on canvas. This show also includes one of my 3D creatures, Marley Bone, made from papier-mache, beading and mixed media. Enjoy the many unique and varied works of art in this show.
I appreciate Alamance Arts’ longstanding commitment to shaping the cultural identity of Alamance County by making art a tangible presence in the lives of its citizens. Their mission to enhance the quality of life by engaging people in a diverse array of art resonates with my personal mission as an artist.
You’re invited to a special reception on September 15th from 6pm-8pm at Alamance Arts.
